What is a Safety Valve?
Safety valve is the name given to the valve mechanism that automatically releases gas when the specified limit temperature or pressure is reached in pressurized tanks and other systems. It is important to use safety valves to ensure safety in boilers and tanks. Safety valves are also used as auxiliary elements in heat exchangers and pressurized tanks. The membrane inside the valve is manufactured to be resistant to abrasion. Opening pressures are fixed and set values can be pre-set at the factory upon request.
It is installed in the system to prevent the fluid pressure in the installation from rising excessively and damaging the installation, a different device or valve connected to the installation. It has a spring mechanism working on the principle of counter pressure. Different connection diameters are available according to the boiler capacity and the amount of water in the installation. In cases where the valve capacity is insufficient, multiple safety valves can be connected to the line "in series".
